Terrington Playgroup has been welcoming families to York since 2018. We’re a volunteer-run group offering a safe, warm and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 and their parents, grandparents and carers.
What we believe
We believe every child deserves the chance to play, explore and make friends in a nurturing setting. And every parent deserves a proper cup of tea and a friendly face.
Our sessions are deliberately relaxed. There’s no curriculum, no pressure and no Pinterest-perfect expectations. Children lead the play, and grown-ups get a much-needed breather.
Who runs us
Terrington Playgroup is run entirely by a small team of dedicated volunteers — many of whom started as parents attending sessions themselves. We’re DBS-checked, first aid trained and passionate about early childhood.
